Be Cool Solutions is your refrigeration engineer in Brussels. We support shops, restaurants, butchers, bakeries and food businesses with all their refrigeration installations.

How does a refrigeration project work?

  1. Your needs: what you need to store (fresh produce, frozen goods, drinks…), the quantities and the constraints of your premises.

  2. The site visit: we look at where the cold room or cabinet will go, the space for the condensing unit, the power supply and how the unit will reject its heat.

  3. The quote: a detailed proposal with no obligation, listing the planned equipment.

  4. Assembly: insulated panels, door, evaporator, condensing unit, refrigerant and electrical connections.

  5. Commissioning: vacuum, refrigerant charge, leak test, controller settings and a check that the temperature pulls down correctly.

  6. Follow-up: statutory leak checks, maintenance and repairs.

Key points of a refrigeration installation

  • Storage temperature: chilled for fresh produce, frozen for frozen goods.
  • Volume and door openings: they determine the cooling capacity needed.
  • Condensing unit location: it must be able to reject its heat properly without disturbing the neighbours.
  • Controls: an electronic controller displays the temperature and, depending on the model, triggers an alarm if something goes wrong.
  • Access and hygiene: a suitable door, a strip curtain if needed, floor and threshold suited to the traffic.
  • Refrigerant traceability: leak checks and records of each job, as required by the regulations.
