What to plan for
- False ceiling depth: the body of the unit must fit inside it.
- Routing the refrigerant and electrical lines above the false ceiling.
- Condensate drainage: by gravity where possible, otherwise with a condensate pump.
- Cassette position: in the centre of the area to be cooled, to make the most of the 4-way airflow.
Cassette maintenance
The filters sit behind the grille and are cleaned regularly. During maintenance we also clean the heat exchanger and check the condensate drainage.

Yes, a cassette is recessed into a suspended ceiling. Without one, we recommend a ceiling-suspended model.
Is a cassette unit suitable for a large room?
Yes, that is its main strength: air is spread in four directions, which avoids hot spots and concentrated draughts in large spaces.
Is a cassette unit noisy?
The indoor unit is recessed and very discreet. The compressor sits in the outdoor unit, which we position to limit noise disturbance.
How is a cassette unit maintained?
The filters are cleaned regularly by opening the grille. A full service by an engineer, at least once a year, also checks the condensate pump.
