- Installation of the outdoor unit and indoor equipment, refrigerant, hydraulic and electrical connections.
- Commissioning: settings, leak test, checks and an explanation of how it works.
The heat pumps we install
We install air-to-air heat pumps, which heat and cool the air in the rooms, and air-to-water heat pumps, which supply the central heating and can produce domestic hot water. For hot water only, a heat pump water heater is a simple alternative.
After installation
A well-maintained heat pump keeps its performance over time. We can take care of your heat pump maintenance after commissioning.
What to plan for
- Outdoor unit location: good airflow, defrost water drainage and noise for the neighbours.
- Indoor space for the hydraulic module and the hot water cylinder (air-to-water).
- The power supply for the heat pump.
- Heat emitters: we check that they are suitable for an air-to-water heat pump.

Frequently asked questions
How does a heat pump installation work?
We start with a survey of your home, then size the installation and send you a detailed quote. Once approved, we fit the outdoor unit and the indoor equipment, make the connections and commission the system.
Why is sizing so important?
An oversized heat pump runs in short cycles and wears faster; an undersized one cannot cover your needs in very cold weather. The calculation takes into account floor area, insulation, heat emitters and usage.
Where should the outdoor unit go?
In a clear, well-ventilated spot that is accessible for maintenance and chosen to limit noise for you and your neighbours. Local council or building co-ownership rules may also apply.
Can I keep my existing boiler?
Yes, in some cases the heat pump can work alongside a boiler (hybrid system). We look at this option based on your current installation.
Do I need a permit to install a heat pump?
It depends on your municipality, where the outdoor unit goes and any co-ownership rules. We explain the steps involved when we quote.
