Support for a heat pump depends on the region where the home is located. It changes regularly: amounts, conditions and sometimes the scheme itself. That is why this guide deliberately gives no amounts or detailed conditions. It lists the questions to ask and the official services that give you up-to-date information. Before signing a quote, always check the official source for your region.

- Is the scheme open? A grant can be suspended, changed or replaced by a loan.
- Before or after the work? Depending on the scheme, you apply before work starts or after the final invoice.
- Is an audit or energy certificate required?
- Is a certified installer required?
- Which conditions apply? Income, type of home, type of heat pump.
- What is the deadline for submitting the application?
Brussels
- Homegrade: the housing advice centre for the Brussels Region. Its advice is free, including on renovation support.
- Renolution: the regional renovation portal, where Brussels grants are published.
- Your municipality: some offer their own grants.
Wallonia
- The Guichets Énergie Wallonie: neutral, free advice on energy in the home, including support schemes and heating.
- The Walloon energy portal: the page on financial support for renovation.
Flanders
- Mijn VerbouwPremie: the regional renovation grant, which covers heat pumps, with its conditions on vlaanderen.be.
- Mijn Energiehuis: the Energiehuis in your municipality provides information on grants and loans and can help with your application.

Because grants change often: amounts, conditions, sometimes suspension or replacement by a loan. Fixed information would soon be wrong. The official services listed here keep their conditions up to date.
